In search of a deeper meaning to life than mere existence.
*Why did she have to mend herself, And pretend like everything was fine. When no day passed without a sob, As she lay drunk with wine. She held the bottle to her lips, And with every single sip, It was as if she drowned again, It was as if she waned away. The memories blurred as the days passed on , As she looked for something to hold on. But honey, you see, the days are gone, When you could expect a shoulder to cry on.*

A Soliloquy
When I first saw you, I knew you were something different, something special, You had a face that turned faces, And a body that seemed to draw gazes. When I first looked into your eyes, I saw an ocean of warmth, a sea of melted ice, I was enthralled and afraid at once. For those eyes seemed to have lost someone. As gazed at your lips in fascination, I was bound in imagination, Of what it would feel like to have them on mine, The way they curled, in such a knowing smile. I craved to feel your lips on mine, I knew that it could never be true. And yet, when it did, I think I was lost, For it was wretched to be in love with you. *You were but a ******* And I was but a fool, To walk where you lead me, You made me drool.* I would have climbed mountains and crossed the narrow seas, For you, you see, that's how much you meant to me. And yet when I told you how easily you laughed, It was as if a dagger had pierced though my heart. The long sleepless nights are still within memory, Each one of them a reminder, of how bitter you can be. You will never know, I don't think you realise, How much you meant to me, how much you suffice.
