The heat of summer declining
Winter is on its way
The stars begin aligning
Like flowers in a bouquet
As the breeze rolls through the field
Stands the finest purple flower
With a beauty that she so graciously wields
As she walks this land of ours
She is warmth in autumn
A smooth aroma in winter
A warm embrace that's made of cotton
A love tinted red like dusk in winter
In a gentle season of change
I see my beautiful Autumn Crocus

I remember the early mornings in the dawn of the Spring
Waking up with a smile to the sound of your ring
Happiness struck at the centre of my chest
How I set out to give you my best
I freed my mind from the troubles of past days
With certainty, I would welcome your ways
I held you close and hoped that you'd feel
The love that for you I was ready to reveal
I have now lost everything and it is time to move away
My heart is broken what more can I say

I'm in a serene state of mind
My thoughts are quiet and pure
You're the light I come to find.
And my anxieties are left ashore.
The slow passage of time
I sit and wave it through
And every hourly chime
Brings another mile with you.
On dark and gloomy days,
When contentment finds a place to hide
My troubled mind finds peace at the sight of your face,
And the dew slowly starts to subside.
I see the figure of love
In a rosy garden, under a sky that's blue,
I see a mountain with Sugerbirds above
Every time I picture you.

In the corner, in spring
He feels a phantom drift through his skin
He lifts his head to see, but the curtain stops to swing
He turns his attention towards the man within

If the arms of the clock could resist
Only then would you see
A frown turned upside down
And a soul full of wonder.
In a time when woes were few
And the years had not gone by
Was a boy with the purest heart
And eyes that glowed so bright.
The only fear in sight
Was the fear of fear itself
All foes were still unknown
And trouble was yet to come.
If the grains of time had stood still
Long enough for you to see
There would be no need for explaining
And everything would just be.
From the port side,
Looking into the terrifying sea
The world has no place to hide
From what the future brings you to see.

When morning comes and sky turns blue
I picture you
Though roads were took and dreams conflict
My decision stood bricked
On summer nights when music plays
Your splendour raise
Moments manoeuvre memories into months
Broken bits of beauty once
Conversations with your name in question
Your faithfulness always mention
Sadness grows old and regret also much
On a life with ice-cold hands that someone touch
Words you said, and soon forget
Leaves a mind in a spiral and upset
Loosely looking long to the future
Desperate attempts, the past manoeuvre
Will sparrows sing on a day anew,
When I no longer picture you?

Early winter, pacing through the cold air,
Mittens and friendly faces react to their passing neighbor.
In oblivion, he lays his hand on the safety hardware
And the coldness passes through him like a saber.

He's had a long day of fixing and is ready to go,
Pushing the door shut he makes his way to the car.
Greetings exchange as he walks through the parking bay,

Days' number and my value decays
So I set out to seek that of eternal worth
At a focal moment, the map now walks before me
So I move closer for better inspection
Still, I am treading on foreign lands.
I do not want to be in darkness
I keep myself close to the lighthouse, and my beacon always in reach
Curiously pondering over a reflection of myself
I am convicted and the turbulence of escape has exhausted my potential
I trace the course as each nautical mile pulls me further away from the typical reality
I am afraid to lose
And yet by myself, there is no point to prove
Keeping myself afloat has drawn all my energy
And I am frozen from being afraid to sink

Time spent compounding knowledge from a foreign origin
“Be hold”, he chants
A figure of which she can’t see
Like a cold breeze on his forearms she looks anaesthetically into space
With drums beating in her chest,
She leaves his side desolate
Following the commands from a different plane
His reality unfolds layers stepping out of the truth
Dillusion saturates all that makes sense
His thoughts are overflowing with treasured momens left behind
He finds peace at the feet of his giant
All sense is lost

Everything he had anticipated
A life he invested in
He stands beneath the foot of the climb
All his courage is drowning in a pool of pain.
A deal he wishes he could take back
How he longs to resign from the path he chose.
He now walks alone, ahead of him no track
And into the darkness, he steps.
In a life that he traded his soul for,
Loneliness now accompanies him.
No man to call a friend.
The undertone of regret keeps him awake
this is a deal he wishes he hadn't made
A heart of gold now turned to waste
Hollow, empty and displeased
He is alone.
