Who would've known That the most enchanting Of flowers would be black? Those two flowers that shined, Like black pearls, lined, By dark thick threads of silk, Would, I knew, forever make me blink. For its light did take all the darkness away, And made me afloat , A bird of the skies.

BLACK FLOWERS
Weak thin hands, they trembled Those twig like fingers fumbled Cold cruel wind, it slashed Unseeing bruises on that hungry face The lion rumbled inside the acidic belly, But was soon put to silence by a cold wet rag. Hopeless & tired, pair of white& black Appeared and disappeared , As if in rhythm, A rhythm that matched a zombie's troll. The throbbing went on , from the scars Caused by the claws of the lion , Where it slept now, Guess even the lion gets tired.

THE LION
She asked me.... WHY? I had no answer! Closing my eyes, I racked my brain, No, none found! As I stood there clueless and lost The softest of breezes did caress my face , As it slipped through my fingers, reminding me of him. That's when I opened my eyes And ,saw them Sunflowers and bluebirds Gay and alive, Under the all-consuming sun. And, That's when I opened my eyes To see them, Black Ravens upon 'em leaves rotten Dark and death-like, Under the all-consuming sun. I turned around and told her, 'Cause that's when I knew! Yes, 'Cause that's when I knew, How he was my sun. That's how I knew, How without him, I was blind, Blind to all that there was, Blind to all that there could be , To all that was bright , To all that was dark. That's when I knew...WHY!
