I was born on a farm in 1955 way in the far northwest corner of Minnesota but our family lost that farm and moved off of it in 1957 when I was two years old. I moved several times in my life from the Midwest to Washington State's city of Seattle. I feel that I had wonderful public school teachers that introduced poetry ,literature, and writing in general to me and they also encouraged the love of books as a lifelong enjoyment not only to read myself but to share with others. I am currently living in central Minnesota right now with one of my daughters.
