If you are seeing me, are you truly seeing
Are you scanning my cover
Reading my eyes
Can you see beyond the masks I wear
Do you know who I am
Or is it only my fear that you know me
Why is it I can't say hello
Are you as afraid of my words as I am?

We grew together
We grew apart
I see her from my castle walls
A creature of the night
She once stood proud beside me
Now her head hangs low
I offer her nothing
She is so alone
I judge her nightly
Weigh her meaning in my head
Is she anything or nothing
Is she alive or dead?

Without regard for life or limb, of what fate shall become of him
A dog knows only of his heart, which breaks if he and I should part.

From mere particles they have risen, took shape
Lost fragments in the ocean breeze
Stretched proudly toward the sunlight
Inspired hearts and minds both new and fertile
A perfect show of mans desire to create
To play God, if only for a moment in time
Until inevitably mother nature grows tired of the day
The evening tide and sea foam Goddess cleaning our slate.
