air is heavy shallow questions gone at last the willows I remember all this wicked past now comes the golden time of dust and breeze meadowlark and pumpkin fire on the trees all things young do vanish stores of guilt and pride but some things wilt to color i think of things that died

we stole some moments once we turned our black to grey we shared a certain thing but we never had to say blink and the moments fly we love a world apart but we built these tiny memories and they still paint my heart

the wind was haunting. reminded me of sand between our toes and skin on mine as the sun hit the water exploding into the pinks and oranges that reminded us how we felt. just when the sky could give no more her hand took mine and the stars smiled, their fire illuminating our hearts and bursting into sparks; landing on the sand, happy to witness something like us.
