5 fingers rise As I clench on to my bra shutting my eyes Waiting for his palm to contact my skin I prepare myself within Slightly I open my eye trembling He bitterly laughs saying ‘oh dear Evelyn’ I watch in horror shouting a cracked please Falling into my knees His hand balled into fists Heedlessly his powered fists rammed into my cheek Making my head shriek I watch in slow motion as my blood flew to the floor Suddenly I notice the innocent at the back door Silently crying Complying My tears fall in sync with the blood from my nose Enough...... As the demon in me arose

We are not punching bags
The hem of my skirt gently lifts The tranquil air greased my skin As flashes started invading my mind I watched as we both fell on the grass You began to carelessly tickle my sides Slowly I lift my shirt to feel your missing contact Forcefully I tear my eyes back to the imagination ‘Please!’ I remember begging hysterically Then you softly planted kisses on my exposed skin I could feel your melting lips on my neck Like it was yesterday A tear rolled down As my skins memory flooded in You leaned your ear unto my growing belly Beat by beat You smiled and kissed our formation The sun began to leave us You placed diamonds on my wrist ‘Always and forever’ I look down with blurry eyes Where is the Forever?

Real love
She danced in the halcyon days Lacking sense of the coming blaze Left hand right hand Twisting and turning in the fruitful land She spreads her wings Oh...Life playing the right strings Soon she began to rise Reaching for the highs Before she could reach a threshold Life’s warmth froze from the cold Eagles purpose cut off With nothing but a whooping cough Watching as her happiness went down the drain She got up.....it’s never late to try again

The calm before the storm
I’ve forgotten how the sun feels against my skin I’ve missed the chills the breeze gives My ears beg to listen to the tweeting birds Mind seems to have lost the memory of sight Trees swaying, children playing But now, Smell of fresh cigarettes The caffeine filled air, We are stuck behind these grey walls As each sun sets, So does part of us Starting with our reality

Life....now
Everything is never ending Like the love I don’t have for you The residue of my broken heart Gently resides of the palms of another The other, Who doesn’t have the ability to vision the gift my heart procures. The other, Who is captivated with the lust she radiates The other, Who will settle for a processed heart rather than the rawness mine bears The other, Who doesn’t even appreciate the spelling of my name. For a moment I thought, Why give my heart to the blind one After all maybe somethings have an ending Maybe something that was once folded and tucked away could be dusted That moment has become a reality

Saddled
I’m a girl Doesn’t mean my mind pleads for a twirl I’m a girl with a heart Doesn’t mean it and the body want to be apart I’m a girl with a different body from yours Doesn’t mean it’s there for your chores I’m a girl with style Why can’t I be in jeans walking down the aisle I’m a girl with needs Doesn’t mean I can’t work to sew seeds I’m a girl with pride Doesn’t mean you should throw my words aside I’m a girl who is playful Doesn’t mean I’m unfaithful I’m a girl with insecurities Doesn’t mean lying is part of my abilities I’m an enchanting girl Doesn’t mean my nudes is for you to swirl I’m a girl That’s just the difference

Message to the opposite
I wasn’t sure I’ll be okay again, Even through my bumps, tall walls and cane You still managed to find me at the edge Heart in the ground beging to be dredged From the corner of my weary eye, I watched you pick my up heart, why? You smiled and whispered “the storm will pass” Somehow a small smile started to grow like grass You took my halting heart and placed it in my palms Then I listened as you read me the book of psalms.
