Hi, I write short, lame poems instead of doing my homework.
Life is a lie, a false reflection We see nothing but pain and much deception The world is a cold, foreboding place That many of us are afraid to face

Life is a Lie
These wings are meant to fly high above the city High above all of mankind's worry and pity Away from the chaos, the guns and the knives We fly to utopia where we may live peaceful lives

Wings
Red blood when you look into these eyes Say goodbye to these heartfelt lies The darkness inside is breaking free "You're going to die" says the demon beside me

Demon
I have but one wish, and that is to see To see the ocean and hear it call out to me At the edge of the bay where all is calm The waves crash against my feet, urging me on Onward towards light, onward towards life Towards my destiny that hold nothing but strife

Love
Lights, lights Spinning overhead Night, night Falls instead Bite, bite He's under your bed Spite, spite Is what fills his head So goodnight, goodnight You'll soon be dead

Goodnight
Out on the lake, the glistening moon Dances about, sparkling like an animated cartoon Light bouncing off the water, leaping around Yet not a single boat to be found There is nobody to behold such a beautiful sight Because all humans are filled with spite Who would let them corrupt something so pure? Not you or I, so we shall keep this lake obscured.

Secret Lake
I have lived several lives, all separate from thee My feet touch the clouds, my body is free But this life means naught without you by my side Without you everything is dark and I wish to hide To hide in the woods, among the animals that call That call to the darkness that consumes us all For life is an illusion that holds us tight Next to the reaper that comes in the night The world will go on without you and I The winds shall still howl and the birds shall still fly This earth is peaceful, my darling, my dear But it must come to to an end, like all things queer.

Reality
My friend lies fallen Cold and dead On the ground beside me My cousin dies Before my eyes A bullet put through his head Now only I stand Alone in these barren fields And I wonder, is it worth the pain? Is it worth the fight? Is it worth staying up all night, Worrying about what is to come Dreading the sight of a rising sun? Now I see The enemy comes Ready to finish me off. I grasp my gun Then fire and run Hoping when there is no hope left That I may survive Against all odds That I may strive For a better cause Then this blasted thing called warfare.

Warfare
Happiness is naught but an illusion One may grasp at it, but never hold it. Life is merely a path. One may follow it, but never stray from it’s desired course. Time is a river, seeming to flow onward forever. ‘Till it ends at the ocean. Try to escape death as we may, it will always catch up to us. And then it shall hold thou in it’s cold yet warm hands.
