We laugh
And we smile
Even though we are in denial

There was a thread she could tug
When she did she would sore
Realizing that the world was alive
In wonder and in chaos
It connected her
Grounded her in life
And when she dropped
She would pull on it again
And it would bring up
Up from drowning
In the worries of wanders and ifs

Her body
Crafted delicately by nature
Felt like stone
Her mind
Created with every thought
Was wired and tired
together envisioning chaos
Her life
Changing on the day to day
Yet not at all
Was hers
Whether she forgot it or not

She felt unsafe
Unsafe in her being
She had critisized it for to long
Taught her right
And her wrong
Her wrong she would be
Yelling,
Screaming
Begging herself for more

Ohhh she was desperate to meet her
To run her fingers through her silvered hair
And cherish the memories and wrinkles scatter around her eyes
How she would ask a hundred question
Like if her dreams were meant
Not just a fews kids and a husband
But was the book written and cherished
Did she move next to the ocean and become its best friend
Was she able to voice the words that were kept so deep within her lips
Did she jump and sing at every opportunity
Did she learn sign language and attend those stain glass classes
She would love to sit next to her and memorize the clothes she wore
The way she lifted her chin a little higher
Steady in her being
She couldnt wait to sit next to this her
Sit next to her peace
And just a little awe

Her screen was full
And upon a Glance
She would see
photos
Notes
Videos
And Messages
All scraps of stories
Memories, loves, and wanders
And she would wonder
Was there ever more
Should there be more?
More to this
More to her
Or maybe
Just maybe
There was meant to be less
And looking for life through a screen
Was never meant to be

To sit
To sit and rest in her emotions
Rest in them so deeply
So vulnerably
That she could cry
And anger
And laugh
That was the greatest comfort
She would give
Could gift to herself

She forgot
Forgot
Forgot that when she deepened breathe
Looked to the trees
Faded
Faded into the stories
Written by Poets
And Travelers
That she was not forgotten
Nor broken
Only lost
Lost in the most glorious of ways

And in her
there was silence
Silence so deafening
Silence
Sitting within
Waiting
Encompassing
Stealing the space
Meant for
Laughter
Meant for passion
Even rage
God how she begged
Pleaded
For even her rage
But they had left
And all she that remained
Was their essence
And cruel cruel
Silience

One day
One day when she could run
She ran
Ran as fast and farther then today
Because if she stayed
She would
Would fade
Fade into
