I developed language skills to cope with the fact that I could not draw like my brother. Literature came easy to me. Poetry was introduced to me when I was 10, and ten years later I wrote what I consider to be my first "real" poem. / / High School brought Speech Team to me, which has fostered my love for reciting of my own poems. / / I also have Bipolar Disorder, so a lot of my poems' themes are depression and mania. / / My favorite poetry movement is Imagism. I write free verse.
