Always so still, yet not ceasing to turn, Wheeling above in an endless sphere, Vanishing with the sun, only to return Alongside it's pale eye with a gaze so austere as to blot out the sparks, so close and alone seeking solitude in the velvet night, but offering a gateway into the unknown Accessed by nothing, save thought and sight. Ageless and ancient, in an astral cascade The sentinels watch in their legions, as the aeons adorn Their serene visages that live only to fade Into stardust, the mother from whom all creation is born. A panoply of mysteries, forever on display Fill the infinite reaches of the skyward deep, with more marvels to see in an endless array, than could ever be dreamed in eternity asleep.
