Have you ever just laid in bed
and thought for a moment,

what life would be like
if you changed the world?
Oh no, I'm not talking about
curing cancer or aids.
Or world hunger for that
matter.
If you said "Hey" to that quiet girl.
If you told someone their beautiful.
If you including the lonely boy.
If you said "No" instead of
regretting.
If you made someone feel loved.
If you just listened for once.
If you stood up for what you
believed in.
If you righted your wrongs?
Would the world change?

Sometimes I wonder
when I look into the stars,
back to when I was younger,
back to when I was drunker,
back to when I was funner,
back to when we weren't at war.
I think about the details in your face
and how you talked with such grace
and how your hugs felt like forever,
didn't we have so much fun together?
Then my head started to ache
while my heart started to break.
Were your feelings all fake?
But now I'm so awake
my fingertips shake,
as the bottle falls,
I just miss you above all.
