I see their smiles
It's just another day to me
With you so many miles
I wish they could see
How much it hurts me
Father's Day
A sad day to see
But i'll be okay
I'll take you flowers
And clean your grave
I'll wear the shirt with flowers
The one you gave
That's my Father's Day
There'll be no smiles for me
So much to say
Like a dead tree
It hurts being a Daddy's Girl
So many memories
It takes me for a twirl
Listening to the stories
I see their smiles

Like a doe
So wild and free
How could this be so?
Wanting you to catch me.
Dew drops fall to the ground
As I canter through
All without a sound
While I hear the thud of your shoe
The leaves rustle and crunch
Although you cant hear me
You're following your hunch
While i'm wild and free.
You want to catch me
But you know you can't
Can you see me?
But I know you shant.

I said yes and danced before
And got my feelings hurt
It hurt me to the core
Words so curt
Every time I cried for you
Felt like you were trying to hurt me
By the stuff you do
Like you couldn’t even see
How bad you were hurting me
Tears me to pieces
For me to see
How happy you’ve made her
What’s past is past
Nevermore,
Will I fall so fast
Or walk through your front door

As the days go by, you're never far from my mind

Birds fly, I think of you
Sun shines down on me, I think of you
Not a day goes by that you're not thought of by me
Daddy's little girl, forever will I be
With you watching from above... over me

I see him in the night
I see him when I close my eyes
I try so hard to fight
But he wins every time I start to fly
He waits for me
He haunts my dreams
Please set me free
I falling apart at the seams
Bruises and cuts are in the past
But the memory is forever there
I run so fast
But there’s no escaping him here
Here in my dreams
He always catches me
I scream and scream
But it never helps me
I awake in the night crying
Realizing it was just another dream
No one can help me but I keep trying
Wondering why no one hears me scream…

Sleep constantly eludes me
Till light of day
Wishing this nightmare would set me free
Then I know I shall be okay
Until thy time comes
I shall lay here
Forever in these nightmarish dreams
Crying out in the night in fear
So tired when I awake
It’s a wonder I sleep at all
I know they’re fake
But still I fall
I fall and fall
Forever in despair
Making me feel so small
Till the world tips me over without a care
So here I shall be

Dawn awakens me
Nestled in your arm
Rested as can be
Peacefully warm
Noon I am full
Of food and love
Can’t resist your pull
Sweet as a dove
Dusk I am tired
Of all but your love
The day all but expired

Ease your pain with mournful sighs
Soon the grief will fade away,
When you hear what i have to say.
I don't mean to pry
In your business or life,
But i don't like it when you cry...
I want to know what is wrong in your life!
Don't shed away
Tell me what's wrong
And everything will be okay,
No matter what you say.
Everybody has problems,
And everyone has pain,
If you don't deal with them,
You'll have nothing to gain.
