sipping coffee,
rain dripping
in the balcony,
sun's setting.
nostalgia—
i remember
insomnia—
i cant sleep to forget.
the times i wanted you to stay
for a minute, an hour
right beside me, please lay
tell me your problems and wishes
lets reach for the stars
as peter pan descends
fly with me, ignore your scars
just think of happy thoughts.
insomnia—
i dream even if i cant sleep
unrequited—
i love even if it cant be returned

they say eyes are the
gates of the soul
gaze into mine
and tell me what you see—

Sometimes, on a Friday night.
I lie awake, not in fright,
But in hopes of thinking there may be more,
Than why I have tears that fall to the floor.
Sometimes, on a Friday night,
I lie awake, because of lights that're bright,
And find a way to make it dimmer,
So that I can return to my peaceful slumber.
But on one Friday night,
I found myself awake not because of hopes nor light,
But because I found myself thinking of you,
My thoughts ponder: do you like me too?

your hopeful eyes that hold the softest light,
your charming smiles that warm the coldest night,
your soft laughs that feel like a gentle breeze,
the thought of your lips makes my sorrows seize.
i felt a strong rush of love so profound,
i always feel secure with you around.
amidst dark times, i find a way to smile
'cause any moment with you is worthwhile.

All lies diminish me ---
As a card carrying member of the human race,
I consider it a disgrace,
when truth is subverted,
truth is diverted,
puts a frown on my face,
puts me in a bad place,
when truth is perverted in any way.
Lies weaken the laws of modern man--
If it's a shell game of opinion while avoiding fact,
modern society might as well take a giant step back.
To the plague days,
to the guillotine ways,
when might was right,
carry a big stick.
I dont want to go back to that.
Each lie told damages the soul ---
Are we here on earth to be false to each other,
to con with words or sister and brother?
To smother or dignity,
break it and fake it,
knowing wrong from right but go ahead and forsake it?
I think no.
And the outcome of lying---
When those you trusted lie,
but don't get busted - cry.
Consider it the day truth died.
And down with the ship of truth goes honesty
respect,
rules,
civilization will fall.
Tears to lend, prayers to send,
lies will be the beginning, the middle, the end.
Lies will be the death of us all.

puzzles incomplete,
slowly, like roses we wilt
each other's happiness we deplete
as we feed off each other's gray skies and fluttering butterflies.
after all,
we're just both wilting sunflowers bathing in fresh sunlight.

gray skies surround what was meant to be a sunny morning,
happy smiles covered the faces of those hurting.
i looked out the window and greeted me,
was a scenery where sadness was all i can see.
heavy rain poured down on leaves,
just as my chest was tightened as it heaves,
you were all i could remember,
and the times we were together.
the drops slid down the window as my breath fogged and clouded my view,
as if the leaves and rain, felt my feeling and i knew,
in an instant, i reached out to the glass it called home to me,
ever since you left, i was rendered empty.
