The sound of rain -
An endless purr
The repetitive rhythm
surrounding,
enclosing.
A fear of the world it brings,
An unknown outside.
Ruins and destroys
with a single step in the open
The isolation is suffocating.
It's a constant reminder.
Drops hit the ground beneath,
Casting dangerous ripples in every direction.
The endless cries, like dripping pain.
no one is around you.
They're comforted under their own roof
Listening to the
Sound.
Of.
Rain.

You're stuck. You're trapped
It's keeping you in.
Mind is broken
Soul is tired
a sea of screaming lies.
The one way out
The tiny escape
It's not always open and free.
A simple lid
******* on tighter and tighter
rarely gets its chance to loosen
and break its contents free.
The mind is delicate
so easily surrounded
by a coating of plastic
shutting you inside yourself
trapped for life.
Silence can haunt your mind.
It echos off the walls.
Bouncing of plastic.
We await the day this plastic melts,
Yet also dread it's happening.
The unknown is haunting
Is it
worth
it?

The fear of fear
The fear of thought
The fear of lack
-The unknown
- The waiting
It traps you in its walls
not letting go.
Guards keeping watch
Their power. Their control
Back and forth you go
Not giving you what you need.
Trapping you in your mind
Waiting for that single thread of hope,
Then shredding it in their minds.
The unknown - the open
It's out there - waiting
For when fear steps down
And gives you up at the aisle
opens you up to your world
accepting you for you
But still yet awaiting
the day it gets you back.
