You gave me the chance to know you
I fell in love with who you are
You’re not like any one else in my life
we never gave up even when you thought you did we fought through the criticism
Nothing kept us from giving up on us
Not parents not school work time age distance
Giving up was never a choice for me but setting you free and letting you be happy is not giving up
It is my choice
But I will return for you like

I saw your face for the first time in years like you were really here
I ran after you but you would not stop
I screamed you name but you would not look at me
The closer I got the further you went I was not going to give up I ran and ran after you
Crying your name
Dad dad please do not go nothing helped it hurt I don’t know if it was a dream or
A nightmare I have not forgotten the pain you caused us the pain I still carry
The hate I held for so long because you were not there for us
You left us and you could have been there but you chose your path
Why did you I dream of you when I do not know what I feel for you
