The rules made to shape you in a preferred way are set in the strongest stone So I cut away the ropes which are pulling me up and carry on But I’m unable to move between one person to the other My senses demolished, lost, forgotten. Do I want them back? The louder they scream, the faster my heartbeat and the quicker my pulse will stop I died for no cause and I rise without reason Swept away by dreams thinking it was the right corner to turn The further resistance of any attempts of help, unintentional or not They can’t see them but does this mean they don’t exist? No. It was when they took over they became alive Insane you call me. I am nothing more than myself Go ahead and rip my veins out and puncture my lungs and choke my breath and extract my blood and pull out my teeth and skin my face I may be the equivalent to a disease But you are promoting ignorance to my kind

i want to be next to you breathing your air with your fingers intertwined with mine i want to feel your lips pressed against me a thousand times a day i would spend hours in silence with you because we all know actions speak louder than words i want to be yours and you to be mine no questions asked i could spend my life in admiration you're the missing piece to my empty soul we could have those midnight talks as we watch the stars as perfect as you or we could sleep in the most innocent way so i no longer feel alone and you have a reason to live

Imagine
Words, searing through my heart, unstoppable Damaging my vision Like you're throwing arrows into my eyes What if I said something - would the world stop spinning just for me? No. Don't be stupid now.

Ripped
your lips were as soft as mine every time we touched there were fireworks between us enough for beauty too little for danger i swear i could stare as long as you did but you were unique so i stopped your hands warm in winter cold in summer watching movies time flying id sleep when you were distracted sometimes i wouldnt know right from wrong yes or no but i rely on instinct only its all a matter of dirty-innocent love but was it love or imagination what does a pulse prove in the spirit of the moment why were you the only one and why did i still feel alone?

Push my head underwater and let me breathe liquid Forget that I'm a person with a life and ambitions but let's not think about that because apparantly that's not important I didn't know you kept a chainsaw in your office Until the day I was in the middle of speaking and you started to cut off my limbs your argument was that it would prevent risk Temporarily isolating myself for a better cause Your involvement made me begin planning homicide well as long as i'm socialising, it's fine isn't it Dressed for the mourning of a grandparent I get told I'm wearing too little and a staff member comments on my **** but in community meeting, it's the patients that are said to be the ones talking inappropriately to staff What if one day we both brought a gun inside I bet it will be me who is tortured for it

Psychiatric Logic
I could peer into your soul and see nebulas Now I only see black holes The moon used to shine behind your eyes Now just a plain night sky But just remember, Focus on the darkest part for long enough And soon thousands of galaxies will be found Incredibly distant, but alive and breathing We see into the past, while they're in the future We see them tiny, but they're a million times more complex than ourselves Think - Just because it didn't snow this year, That doesn't mean that snow no longer exists So next time you come across an apparantly blank soul Look deeper to find the beauty inside

Perception
‘Cast Your Fate,’ so where has that led us? A painting with holographic colours A way of life put into words Comfort searched for by the uncomforted; we all know this is every single one of us Cast your fate etched into every notebook, postcard, skin cell Every syllable that escapes your throat The race to be the one to do it first and do it best Gain some and lose some so we all remain equal Every dream, every verse, every prayer, repeated over and over until it’s all just sounds dripping out of your mouth Cast your fate and be the ones that live to see their kids have kids With their lips and hearts touched by those they love Not the ones who wait for a saviour to come save them while they sit there waiting for that letter from the Lieutenant saying that their son is dead because that’s where his dream led him Cast your fate so the lazy are stuck and so the motivated can fly So that we as a population are no longer stuck between yes, no, start stop, right, wrong So that every word of ambivalence will stop scratching the blood off our hearts and souls, attempting to fill the empty gap inside us with something we believe is real but is not Cast your fate so you can go where you want and breathe what you believe Because who knows, maybe in one day, two days, a month from now, you’ll be in a better place and no one can pull you back down Do it for the ones who can’t Do it for the ones who aren’t in the spotlight Do it for the ones who are beaten up every day at school and don’t report it Do it for the ones who work hard all day and night and are stamped on until their faces are as ***** as the ground beneath their feet Do it so you can shine brighter than everyone else because that’s what you deserve Cast your fate so that the painting maintains its meaning So that next time you’re faced with Jehovah’s Witnesses knocking on your door, maybe it will start to mean something Maybe, at the bottom of our hearts, we will start to uncover some growing sense of belief So equality means being equal and the gap between black and white is closed and remains closed Cast your fate so you become the mothers, the fathers, the grandparents, the future So that every single eye that blinks and sparkles in the night has the privilege to see good and not bad So that our generation is no longer looked down upon and so we become idols and not criminals Cast your fate
