I am young and tired.
Not a well-earned physical exhaustion
like those who came before me,
but a heavy weight on my mind
that there is so much to do,
and I haven't started yet.

I live a life of words unspoken,
a flaw this day and age;
in a time that spits words
like useless slurs said in anger,
actual thought forwent.
