American I'm 17 years old, going on 18. I'm just a dude who enjoys telling stories through poetic rhyme. Hope you like it!
These rushes called "crushes", a concept aptly titled You can't let it crush you though, your perspective can be vital Your mind begins to wander and stomach starts to flutter Your tongue becomes tied which can lead to a stutter Oftentimes you find that the feelings are one-sided So you'll do anything you can to conceal and to hide it While love can cloud judgment, a crush can bring haze But seeing their face gets you through dreary spring days It's amazing what a simple little crush can do for us How when you listen to a love song, little angels sing the chorus It teeters after "like" but totters before "love" A seesaw, emotions that fit you like a glove The thought of them, the sight of them sends you a frightening jolt Cupid's Arrow hits with the force of a lightening bolt Of energy, of excitement, an indictment on how you feel It leaves a lasting scar, it seems that no one else can heal

Middle School Crush
I guess you could say, that life is a play That fans and critics are watching Complete with the cheers that gives us the tears With boos and jeers we're dodging They don't really care if the tale is of glory All that matters is loving your story In fact they love it more when fates are tragic They just want a seat for unfolding magic Read the script's back page, predicitng the encore Listen from thhe back stage and hear that they want more You'd do anything to help out the cause Accruing acclaim and accepting applause The audience knows they can make or break you They'll drag you to the top and call it a breakthrough You better impress for they only take few Until you mess up. Cut, start over. Take Two.

Put On A Show
You've been my crutch for way too long, it's time to let you go Before you waltz out of my life, I have to let you know You deserve the best and I'm nothing more than less I will stay to pick up pieces left by love's mess Focus on yourself, read a book, do some traveling Forget about my problems and their oh-so-slow unraveling My life may fall apart without you in my routine I can never tell, with just words, how much you mean... To me, you gave affection I will always be indebted You love me more than life itself, for this I give you credit I have held you back with my trainwreck of a lifestyle Drank sorrows away, but took a raincheck on a wife's smile The plane takes off in 20, dear, so please be on your way Never think again of what I think, do, or say You'll miss a lot about me but you'll never miss the fear Once your visions of the past and present disappear

I Must Let You Go
I had forgotten you, or so it seems Before you showed up within my dreams You're the one constant in all the scenes No one on Earth can explain what it means The background was loud, the dialogue silent My outlook is dim but imagery was vibrant Usually my dreams are random, quick, and nimble Now, you remain as a mainstay, a symbol The obsession of you, the love and the passion Stronger than anything you could imagine Evidenced clear by attempts to completely... Ignore clear evidence that you complete me I wish I could ask how I could be conscious With a mind that offers such unwanted responses Until my admiration decides to vanish I don't know how to move on or manage
