I'm the sun, you're my moon.
It’s hard to say I can look into your eyes Can’t turn away, I see me In them in you I’m the sun, you’re my moon A deep lake, succumbed by silence Rippling across distorted in waves There I find you I’m the sun, you’re my moon Roses, soft, grow by me Fed by a stream, the soul Flowing in you I’m the sun, you’re my moon Shatter edges of glass under pressure Like the shoreline itself That tide is you I’m the sun, you’re my moon Never to meet, cycling, once in a lifetime perhaps Who’s to overshadow? Less often it’s you I’m the sun, you’re my moon.

Reprimand
Look within to the dying well Breathe in the mildew laden air Who’s to break first? So hard to walk away Succumbing to the atmosphere Within the hand, a coin of hopes and Dreams. Pay for the brokenness inside. Pause for a moment, what’s the purpose? To watch the glass surface Swallow up a wish? War within, a raging battle; memories of a shooting star Shooting towards the cracked sidewalk, broken mirror Pause for a moment, reflect within, who’s to win Hope or doubt, aspirations or disbelief? Throw the coin and watch it fall Desire has won, faith in optimism restored.

Look Within
Dark disasters and pointless pain Illusions bitten for no gain Take a risk, take a fall Follow the ones who do it all Herds like sheep, follow true Bask in these secrets simply subdue Bury it deeper in the ground, not who you are Not who you’ll be; you are now from afar Hands grab the mind; call them stress Those illusive peers they start to press Molded like clay and distorted in guilt A castle of lies that was built Walked a road through thorns Near the end, quicken your pace, your feet warn Don’t trip up now, you’ve come too far And those memories? They weren’t all so hard Light shines brightest in the dark And if it weren’t for fear there’d be no spark You’ll keep going, stronger than the past Time moves fast so make it last.
