Teach me how to love Lord. I don't trust myself with such a precious thing.

Instincts
The first time I stepped inside the house, there were strangers. They had grimy faces and leather boots caked in wet mud. Anxiety was radiating from me. I was the new member of the tribe in this unknown territory. I watched them devouring old soggy food. "You're gonna love it here" One said. a bit of relief was lifted-- and the strangers became my friends.

400 Caribou
I feel like a lot of people can relate to the never-failing love for all the cookies on my plate. Sweet, delicate, chocolate chip. I glance at the milk, then take a sip. Even raisin, sugar, or oatmeal cause' any kind of cookie is a good deal. Every cookie, every crumb these beauties make my heart go numb. The excitement within me grows and grows at the pace of the aroma drifting into my nose. Without realizing, I may have eaten over thirty-one Any regrets? ha! None.

When the timing is right and the wind chimes are singing and the lemons and limes are squeezin and the words are rhymin and the tree climbers are climbin and the deaf are signin and you are lookin so fiine-in is when you take off your watch and time stops timin. Time stops timin and the world becomes timeless

Take off yo watch
They would never truly know how much their kinds words had touched her How many times she would replay them in her head on a bad day And how many times they helped heal her They would never truly know because a thank you would never be enough

Kindness as Medicine
Take care of her. Feed her when she's hungry. Let her rest when she's tired. Give her comfort when she's weary. Love her when she feels unloved. Extend her grace when she thinks she is unworthy. Encourage her when she worries about failure. Tell her she's beautiful when she can't see or feel it. Believe in her when she loses sight of her vision. Show her kindness when she starts to tear herself down. Take her for a walk when she wants to isolate. Dance with her when her mind is flooded with chaos. Sing her songs when words no longer make sense to her. Be the safe place she can run to when she needs to retreat. Offer her your shoulder when she needs to cry. Pull her in tight when she needs a warm embrace. Please take care of her. She is you.
