Revolutions and evolutions Motions and emotions Watch me as I fire up and expose the colours of your home in a light previously unseen to share with you the green leaves and your crisp eyes Let me warm your heart and your skin On those cold winter afternoons when the pane of glass is all that’s stopping you from me. We are so close yet so far. But look. I’m still here and I still hold you. Just from a distance.

This is a Poem About the Sun
Fresh eyes Blue skies Mud piles and Long whiles Hearts as pure as gold Lives with more to be told Toes that know no ends And arms that reach past ten Cold and bright Make for a warm awakening

New Souls
Floods fall out of me. Hurricanes inside. I was the home of the storms, but they left me dry. It was the mirage, in the dessert. I had no water left. So the cacti crept up, grew taller and wider, and they poked me until I bled. I could try, but what’s the use. There is always a storm, or a drought. I could try, but I feel I will soon say goodbye.

Natural Disaster
sadly, it’s just easier when we touch when the blinds are closed and the voices have hushed it’s painful to be aware both of you and of us but your eyes are just clear enough for it to be lush the crush of something that once seemed so strong. closing our eyes and feeling our way through the grass not up the mountain or past the river, just walk with me through the grass. oh bye sweet love, oh bye oh bye oh bye. I speak with sorrow as I say, sadly, it’s just easier when we touch.

Oh bye
Sometimes I think my tears have frozen. They have turned to salty ice inside my body blocking the streams for other things like blood. Long icicles that wish for summer But my body is too cold for help. Sharp edges creating holes But they’re covered with the snow of winter The beautiful white blanket across a field of what used to be green grass The kind you wish to lay in and pick the dandelions from But there are no dandelions in the winter They’re all dead All the dandelions They wish for summer too. Those longs days when you waited for the moon to come out just so you could talk to someone. She held you with her bright white light But the night was cold And you were wrapped up in your blanketed bed Waiting for summer. Because maybe then she’d see you cry.

can i talk to you?
Back when he didn’t know my name I was such an innocent child Back when we didn’t speak Things were so simple It was an era that will last forever In my memories you stay But now when he says my name Like it’s a word he’s known forever I cry at the thought that one day He might just forget

Losing You
Shadows of words Cast longing above me Rays of darkness have shined. Light comes forth as it pleases
