English I'm 17 and born in Leeds, although I live in Buckinghamshire. Most of my poetry is lyric based (I'm useless at structure!) and comedy-based. / / I'm not a poetry expert and most of my inspiration comes from bands/singers/songs or films/tv shows. You can probably spot where some of my poems are inspired from! / / Constructive criticism is always welcome!
Goodbye dictatorships, you're no good for anyone now, no more hitlers, no more chairman maos. Goodbye dictatorships, no more killing, no more ruining lives, no more wars, no more fights. Goodbye dictatorships, we don't want you anymore, you make people racist, you make people poor. Goodbye dictatorships, you're time has passed, no more censorship, no more heads of states stealing all the cash. Goodbye dictatorships, it is time for you to go, no more feeding propoganda, no more controlling what people know. Goodbye dictatorships, and let freedom rule. Goodbye dictatorships, we don't want you. Goodbye dictatorships, let people break their chains, Goodbye dictatorships, and let anarchy reign! Goodbye dictatorships, let people break their chains, Goodbye dictatorships, and let anarchy reign!

Goodbye dictatorships
You've never loved, I guess you never could. Being in love's not cool, And you don't want to look a fool. Oh your spoilt for choice, All the girls are yours, For the taking, Everyone knows you're in for some ********** Just cause you can bicep curl a twenty, You think you're cooler than me, You took my best mate's girl, And you ruined his world, He thought he had nothing left, Now he's hanging by his neck. I tell you what, when you wake up, you should shake up, and get your ego from mind, cos your wasting everybody's time. Oh your spoilt for choice, All the girls are yours, For the taking, Everyone knows you're in for some ********** I bet you're proud, bout what you done, and tell the crowd, that it was fun. Come Saturday night, You'll pick a fight, With a 5 foot man, Who's too drunk to stand. Oh your spoilt for choice, All the girls are yours, For the taking, Everyone knows you're in for some ********** Oh you think you're cool, You're probably the most popular guy at your school. I suppose confidence is good, When you live, In this neighbourhood, Where you live. Oh I've heard your jokes a million times, When I've passed by, A crowd of desperates and cheaters and liars. Oh your spoilt for choice, All the girls are yours, For the taking, Everyone knows you're in for some ********** But someday it'll come back to bite you I bet, But I know you won't fret, Cos it's not what you do.

Spoilt for choice
I've just joined the Liberal Democrats, My mates reckon they're all a bunch of ***** But I say "what do you know?", "I've read their entire manifesto". Well that was a lie, If ever I've told one, In truth I know maybe 5, Policies of theirs and then I'm done. But what's the point in all of this, Cameron says "hug a hoodie", What could be next?, Give a burglar a kiss? Oh well it's all a guessing game, At the end of the day, No politician has a sense of shame, And no shortage of cash on their payday. When I turn 18, What do I do?, Vote for the colour I like best, Or speak the truth? Debates and elections, Aren't really democratic, Cause no ministers have the courage, To make their policies stick.

Democracy... really?
The back pass comes to me, I look up and see their goal, And spot a great opportunity. Their keeper is off the line, Tired after 88 minutes, But he can't read my mind. I consider taking a shot, Then my conscience says no, And I know I should not. But the urge is too strong, And I imagine the fans, Singing my name in their songs. I roll the ball from me, Look up and pray, For my name to be carved into football history. I strike the ball cleanly, It sails in the air, I hope that it drops neatly. Time stands still, Please please I wish, Let it be God's will. The ball begins to drop, And I imagine my jersey, Flying out of the club shop. Their keeper realises what's happening, He sees the effect on his career, Could be s h a t t e r i n g. He runs and runs, I feel the rays of hope, Sent from the sun. I can feel this is my day, But then the ball hits the crossbar, And rolls on out of play.

'Keeper
Hit the pillow feeling dead, Turning and sweating in my bed, Wake up the next morning to the sound I dread, Across my bedroom slowly I tread, Unable to remember what I said, And a thought from my head: Yes...I had one too many drinks.
