I am a Vietnam combat Veteran- 1969 -1970 while in the Marine Corps and after 40 years I started to write poetry and it was received so well and did so much for me in the way I was feeling in my head, I just kept on writing more poems. I don't write so people can read, I write because that's how I breathe, poetry is my escape. / Love has come and gone so many times in these later years of my life, so I write about it and upon discovering that I could love again after carrying so much hate around with me for so many years after my Vietnam experience, I started to write about it. Relationships with people kept inspiring me to write Poetry and the words just kept coming. Writing keeps my mind off of ugly thoughts of events that took place in Vietnam over 40 years ago. / Changes (the one constant in every ones life) is want makes the world go around and what inspires me to write and is a basic theme in my poems.
