American My first poem was written in 5th grade which was, much to my horror sometimes, over a decade ago. I've been writing poetry on and off since then. Most of the time, though, I surf the internet and write down quotes that speak to me or interest me in some way, giving credit to the original, of course. Some of my favorites are: / / "A good library will never be too neat, or too dusty, because someone will always be in it, taking books off the shelves and staying up late reading them." -Lemony Snicket / / "Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes they win." -Stephen King / / "The only way to find true happiness is to risk being completely cut open." -Chuck Palahniuk / / I could go on and on....and on....and on, but I'll stop there for now. Now go forth, read a poem, read a book, hell, read a street sign if you need to start small, just go forth and read. / And then come back and let me know your favorite quote. I'm always on the hunt for more!
