the roses have wilted, / the violets are dead, / my hands leave ink drops, / swirling in my head... / / but if you want to know more, / you'll just have to stay, / like whatever you can / as I write away!
Each being has a charter, Something, to symbolise its essence. Nature’s way to cater, For its passion and presence. A smiley face, An ocean breeze, The city’s pace, A story to seize. Not just a symbol but a bridge, Between you and the self you never want to lose. To define you as much as you do it. Your charter holds the passions you will choose. Like a vast meadow; barbaric, And wild. Just daring you. To run it through to its end and muse, At a portal carrying a breeze of tomorrows dew.

Who YOu aRe
My heart recognized you the first moment I saw you I didn't have a chance to get your name Or even say anything at all to you... And as the rest of that night passed As I drove towards home I never thought I would get a chance to see you again But my heart knew It knew right away That it loved you And that for the rest of my life I would love you too Completely, impossibly, and madly Together Apart This life The next For all time Forward Or back I would always love you And that I always have In that one first moment My heart knew

Impervious
You were never to blame For it was I who wrapped myself around your finger The warmth there pleased me It was I who chose to eat Off the palm of your hand Everything tasted better there

Closer To God
I have a garden Full of words That thrive On suffering, Flowers blooming In my pain Sprouting with Each new wound I wander in To water them, Eyes filled with Melancholy, And reap fresh tears To quench their thirst That they might Grow for me So when they've Blossomed fire bright As my agony Worsens, I organize them Neatly Into stanzas, Lines and verses.

The Poet's Garden
Lead me and hold me Take me and show me The way you have me go Where you are waiting Where there is beauty There I will find you Leading me on in gentleness Trusting, believing in everything That you can do and all You have done Take me, Lord, show me Splendors and wonders Hard to concieve All in your wonderful Your precious name Ruling with mercy And always the same Leading me to you, Jesus Where your righteousness Dwells in love and goodness For all eternity waiting in heaven Like a great shepherd His sheep to find rest I'm here to follow and to obey Going in faith to where you're leading Standing before you for eternity Praising you, Jesus is everything Lead me, lead in righteousness Revealing your love and your majesty BY: Leona Chaput

Lead me To You, Jesus
408 Unit, like Death, for Whom? True, like the Tomb, Who tells no secret Told to Him— The Grave is strict— Tickets admit Just two—the Bearer— And the Borne— And seat—just One— The Living—tell— The Dying—but a Syllable— The Coy Dead—None— No Chatter—here—no tea— So Babbler, and Bohea—stay there— But Gravity—and Expectation—and Fear— A tremor just, that All’s not sure.
