The snake hisses and slithers
Right into your mind
It fills you with wants
And fills you with dreams
The snake coils around your brain
And before you even realize
The snake has captured control
Of what you determine as your life
It bites when you deviate
It crushes when you try
It slowly kills
Any of you left inside
This snake, it's unwelcomed
But we grow accustomed
To the control of the snake
And yield to it's command
Few leave the snake, there is
No escape
And when there is none of you left
The snake slithers away
To find someone else

Sometimes I think I died;
Unmoving, unblinking, unfeeling.
Poison sits in my veins.
It doesn't flow, it preserves me.
A grinning death mask
Hides what rots inside.
Empty mind, still heart.
Unaware of those that mourn what
I once was,
Unable to comprehend.
Hair grows, hours fade.
Yes, sometimes I think I died.
I'm just waiting to be
Laid to rest.

As I lay here my mind begins to wander, but the only thing on my mind is you. As my brain feels like a hurricane picking up everything in its path, you're the only thing that manages to escape this whirlpool. It's as if every day that passes, this cloud that I've been riding on since day one just gets bigger. And the more I float on, in love, the more I understand, the less I feel like a beginner. It's a change, it's like nothing I've felt before, it's never been this strong. Usually it takes forever, it takes ages, but this time, it hasn't taken long. I still ask, "What have you done to me? How did I fall so fast?" And then I realize, you and everyone of your characteristics are what make me want to make this last... An eternity.

Once upon a lie,
Quite a bit ago,
I thought I had the greatest Prince
That would never let me go.
The Prince wasn't satisfied,
No, not just with me.
So now the Prince is satisfied,
But the princess had let him be.
The princess asked for loyalty,
Is that too much to ask?
Apparently it was,
To hard of a task.
The princess was dependent,
Didn't know how to live for herself,
How to make her self happy,
She didn't need his wealth.
She doesn't need a Prince,
To make sure her castle stands,
All she needs is her mind,
And her two hands
The princess isn't fragile,
She's no longer made of glass,
All she can think is,
Well the Prince can kiss my ***
