27/M/Borger, Texas It is easy to become curious of another person. I am but an artist, a pen rather than a brush and paper rather than a canvas. Most of my work reflects around the Great Edgar Allan Poe and have been writing for Fifteen years. I am an old soul.
It is a man who poses ignorance when he presents to others a question which reserves the right and necessity to be answered. However, it is a man of high intelligence, what astonishingly answers said question with an answer. With such a quip taken into account, it can be said that there are great multitudes of men what posess public wisdom, which lead lives of secret and unforseen idiocy.

The birds that bear no burdens Do not cry when they fall instead of soar You will not see them gathered on your branches They will not greet you when you walk outside your door The birds that bear no burdens Will not say where they are bound to fly You will not hear them greet the morning And they will not be there to say goodbye The birds that bear no burdens Will not occupy your view in the sky For the birds that bear no burdens Have much more freedom than you and I.

The Birds That Bear No Burdens
I am guilty Guilty by association And it seems to be That this prayer may be my last I am Overseas Surrounded by people that don't know me They hide their face But I'm victim by my craft He took the cross I'll take the blade I'll pay the cost Like the one he paid And you can tell my family That I've gone to be with Him I don't live by the sword But I can't say the same for them They are demanding That I deny his name Or I'll never hear My child say my own But I see you standing Behind the swords and warriors And you're telling me My son it's time to come home So I take a deep breath And praise you one more time It's a quick pain and there's nothing left In the place where nobody cries He took the cross I'll take the blade I'll pay the cost Like the one he paid And you can tell my family That I've gone to be with Him I don't live by the sword But I can't say the same for them

The Sword
Come in Houston Are you still receiving my call I'm still in one place in outer space And it feels like im bound to fall Can you tell me what day it is Because I don't have a clue It's hard to tell the night time and the day When the world below me looks so blue Come in Houston, tell me, do you read Because I feel so alone indeed There have been no UFOs to come my way In fact its just an ordinary day Come in Houston tell me do you read I'm getting closer, yes I see it now If my parents were here with me They'd tell me that theyre proud And they would ask me how I did it But its not what it seems Playing in a cardboard box Filled with hopes and dreams This is Houston we can read you And we'll do everything we can To shed some light on you And put your feet back on land With a little help from Mothership I think you'll be just fine You must be famished from your journey Its nearly dinnertime I'm getting closer, yes I see it now If my parents were here with me They'd tell me that they're proud And they would ask me how I did it But its not what it seems Playing in a cardboard box Filled with hopes and dreams An astronaut is stranded in space trying to reach out to Houston space center. He is remembering his childhood days playing astronaut in a cardboard box. He remembers his parents playing along with him at that age. His father would respond as Houston and send the mothership, the boys mother, to "rescue" him. All the while looking at Earth which is so close and yet still so far.

The evil hold their pride in their ignorance, their love in their hate, and their hate in knowledge.

A man seems brave when he comes across a sleeping wolf. But he scurries away like a mouse when he mistakes the wolf's snoring for a growl.

Tick tock Sounds like the beat of my heart Can't stop You brought me this far Time is marching And so is my life Im just smashing all the clocks Because its not my time, no So Ill love you Lord with all my heart Even when it feels so weak And don't think I forgot what you did for me How you moved in those doctors How you worked through their minds And whispered there in my ear Its not your time, my child rise Laying here in this bed Those people think i should be dead But they dont know you like i do They dont know you like i do And then some days come harder now But i know youre still on your throne You hold the final straw The decisions yours alone Ill love you Lord with all my heart Even when it feels so weak And don't think I forgot what you did for me How you moved in those doctors How you worked through their minds And whispered there in my ear Its not your time, my child rise Rise rise my dear child rise Don't you know you have so much time You have the rest of your life  Rear rest oh my child rest Remember everything ive done And every word I've said So Ill love you Lord with all my heart Even when it feels so weak And don't think I forgot what you did for me How you moved in those doctors How you worked through their minds And whispered there in my ear Its not your time, my child rise

Rise
How can you be happy, To say that nothing is wrong In your world, And not show it? How can the darkness Imitate the light? Of course even in darkness There is light from the stars. But people have to look Above to find it. Suggest it was a cloudy night. Would the stars be visible? What else, if the stars Fell out of the sky And the moon forbid To show its face? It is very difficult To find darkness During the day. And yet people continue To sit in the shade. Perhaps they are in fear That the sun will shed light On their own darkness And that the sun has become Their enemy? If you say you are happy, Do not speak it Into a milk bottle Where no one can hear. Instead shout it from rooftops. Slam doors, make any Certain noise that convinces Yourself along with others Who do not believe you. Many will associate Louder noises with anger, But many do not realize That sadness is a silent enemy.

Are You Happy?
If only i was a carpenter I'd build a roof above my walls The storm within falls like teardrops And a voice like thunder makes me fall If only i could find a way To live without my heart Perhaps i could give it to someone else And rip the chains apart But you know what they say You can't have your cake and eat it too So I'll be starving from this disease A dream i know could never be true If only I was father time Then maybe i coud stop the clocks Id pull my spirit where it lingered And say goodbye where i used to talk But you know what they say You can't have your cake and eat it too So I'll be starving from this disease A dream i know could never be true This is goodbye baby To everything ive known Like a vagabond in your mind I have no place to call my own But you know what they say You can't have your cake and eat it too So I'll be starving from this disease A dream i know could never be true

If Only
The truth a faceless enemy Lurks in shadows awaiting your plea A haunting specter hid from your gaze Paralyzing fear that mirrors your haze Dust and serpents Floating around my head Capture the winding moment And it strikes my hand A curious heart, A souls request To seek not find Onwards now and never rest Once the truth is found What then my friend Shall we string the lies Until the end Dust and serpents Floating around my head Capture the winding moment And it strikes my hand Lies like gasoline A fire dancing in the night The truth sending to the guillotine Keep the spirit young and alive Dust and serpents Floating around my head Capture the winding moment And it strikes my hand
