*If evolution
is all that we think it is,
then why are the feelings
towards the one you love
a thing?
Or could it be
slowly killing those most vulnerable,
let alone the easily-wounded,
those effortlessly broken into mortal shards,
leaving the cold-hearted,
those with the walls far up too high to reach,
those immune to such torment?
Maybe evolution
is truly all that we think it is,
and perhaps I'll be gone
way too soon
for my liking.*

If the x-axis represented
the year we met, and
the y-axis represented
the year we stopped talking,
our point of intersection
would most likely be (14,15).
And sometimes, it seems so unfair.
Sometimes I wish
we were parallel lines, and
we never met in the first place.
Other times I wish
our lines coincided, and
we had an infinite number of solutions; an infinite amount of time
to know each other.
But our relationship is beautiful,
too, in it's own way.
We're two lines with
a plethora of things in common, and our lives got to cross
for just a small amount of time.
We got to find each other,
and then drift apart again.
But I'd rather have one point of intersection than none at all.

I believe that the universe
placed your atoms and molecules
near mine so that we could meet.
so that you could teach me how to love,
and what love even was in the first place.
and then once you did that, the universe
took you away again.
and I'm okay with that now.

you asked her to stay
but in return you heard a howl
you looked up and there she was
eternally fleeting
perpetually out of grasp
for you were an anchor and she was a kite
she wouldnt stay but she always came back
for she is the wind
and you the earth.

Does anybody really live
Or are we all just watching our lives pass by through a screen door?
We all do the same thing in the same places
White walls and nameless faces.
Maybe that's what's wrong with our world.
No one gives a **** enough to put a name to those faces,
No one can see that those white walls are really blank canvases.
