Hey, my name's Alex. :) / / I've been writing poetry since I was 13. My style has varied over the years. During the middle/high school years, my style and subject matter revolved around gothic/emo-style song lyrics, with dark themes and very personal subjects. / / Nowadays, I tend to write less depressing, but slight more aggressive, poems that are themed around political and social themes. You'll see the difference in my poems, it's very easy to tell what's my older vs. newer work. / / A lot of my writing is influenced by music, especially rock and metal. Some bands whose lyrics have influenced by style include; My Chemical Romance, Suicide Silence, Elysia, Motionless In White, Cradle Of Filth...there's a lot.
