From the purple mountains to the vast blue skies, From the wild bears to the intricate design on a butterfly, From the colorful people who travel the world, to a house cat chasing a bird Little children playing in the dirt, growing up, getting ready for work Hard cover, soft cover, leather bound books Walking to school in the bright sunlight, Waiting for the bus on a starry night Holding your family warm in your grasp Mourning the ones that have already passed Walking your dog on a leash outside Going for an exciting joyride Skipping college classes just cause you can Studying hard for that same exam Sitting inside, playing a vintage board game, or going outside to run in the rain Eating food everyday before going to bed while having a sturdy or shabby roof over your head From gently painting the flat plains or rolling hills, to peacefully protesting overpriced bills Pleading your case in court before going to jail, and receiving unread, unopened mail Some people sacrifice everyday for you and me, our brave soldiers volunteer to save us because… freedom isn’t free

WOUNDED
You are beautiful Full of love May you live happy and soulful I wish you a smile Be you and you will be gleeful Others will follow your insight And you will hold the world in your hand Beauty comes from inside and you have captured it But beauty isn't to be captured so you let it go But the beauty won't so easily flee and modesty only strengthens it You are beautiful

You are beautiful
The sweetest smile is when there is no mirror The cutest laugh is when no one can hear And the loveliest words are ones that you hold dear

Unseen
You brainwash me, Carefully, Slowly, With ads and TV. You show me that I'm not skinny enough, You show me that I'm not smart enough, You show me to reveal more skin, Simply because I'm a girl. There's no escape from the zombies that follow the magazines. Or the ones that mindlessly stare at phones constantly. I'm told to be a stick, with blonde hair and blue eyes, I'm told that I'm loved, but for what? By whom? Does that mean I'm not enough? Was everyone else born wearing makeup? You say I'm free to follow, but you drag me screaming on the ground. Prosecuted for making the smallest sound So leave me alone and take the hypnotized idiots, I'll keep my place in life, and my meaningful existence.

Propaganda
I sit in the corner as they flirt with my friends I cough in my sleeve as they kiss without end I stare at the wall as they makeout in the chair, not even noticing, me curling my hair I pretend not to notice the guys that say ew or the people who stare when my friends enter a room The boys who gape at the beauty they posess, and I walk by looking my best. I'm second rate when it comes to them, and unnoticed by any men They look more mature, and make funnier jokes, They build crowds around them and push me down But my personality's consistant all year 'round. I don't have looks or a deadly skinny body but I have a good heart (and I'm not as moody) so I don't need boys or parties because I've got inner happiness push me to the ground! I'm strong, I'll live! stomp me and insult me! I can fight! you can try killing me but I wont die!

This woman, she has wiry hair, She cleans her teeth with a finger, She looks much like a bear. This woman, her clothes are brown and raggedy, her nose is crooked and scarred. She constantly walks with a limp and her neck is equal to lard. In this woman, looking back, I can see the strength within her heart the kindness that she held the happiness that she felt... and the person I'd like to be

The person I'd Like To Be
Patience is the word of the slow, and progress is the word of the hasty. We truly must only be now. Now is though a concept like go or stop. Be what you are, hasty or slow. To be, simply do, both and/or neither. To find a simple median, that is now much like every other time.

Be
We shall not wait for prince charming to save us, We must bring ourselves up from what haunts our beings. Don't sit upon a filth covered floor and wait for results. Allow dust filled time to be motivation for bettering ourselves. But when our fate has turned for what we've made it, Don't wait for someone to be in hell to show them heaven. Be the better side of yourself to even those unfamiliar. Open up to them with confidence and pride. Show kindness to the experienced and unexperienced alike, And give chances those who accept them, not necessarily deserve them. Beware though, of sympathy and care's dangerous results. For the mistakes learned from are what divide the fine from the lazy.

Stand
Has man ruined our world? Is pollution fancy for destruction? Will generations cry after us at the mistakes we've made? If this is so, we're passed fixing it. What's left? Let's not dwell on what life could've been, Appreciate what is, Man has killed but there's no reason to keep killing. If you think that there's any freedom, your wrong. We won't stop fighting for it though,
