American I'm new here and I'm not much of a poet , but I'd like to be . I write occasionally . Currently residing in Cayey . Seventeen years of age .
To be honest , I love these grimy back alleys , No matter how dark or disgusting they are . Because it hides me from the sun ; Because it's another place I can call home . And I know they say that "home is where your heart is" , But my heart is in my body , And my body is a temple , And it hasn't been sacred ever since I let her in . Ever since she broke my heart . She knew what she was doing . She dropped it , She let it go . She fell in love with somebody else . Somebody else she calls "home" . My temple is in ruins . My house has no roof . There is no shelter . I have no home . The closest thing I can call home are these back alleys , That are filthy and disgusting . The only place where I can truly feel like I'm someone .
