Drowning
I kissed a girl and her lips tasted like a July summer but we all know summer fades into fall and as the leaves fall apart and die we will too

Summer fades to Fall
It was too hard to tell you I missed you so I carved each letter into my skin and hoped you'd pull up my sleeve but you never did

I miss you
A gentle touch "My hands are cold" Sat in the car, secrets told One quick text A ride home in the rain She taught me how to smile again A lovely message A warm smile I probably could stay a while Coffee date I'm going to be late "I'll pick you up, it's on my way" A kind word A second or two "However can I repay you" A humble thanks for a compliment given I never knew someone could be so driven Positivity being something good and pure Your future is bright, of this I am sure

A purple dress pretty rhinestones mothers taking photos on their phones hugs and kisses compliments astray this was meant to be my perfect day you stepped into view my heart skipped a beat I suddenly feel heavy on my feet the smile you show to the waiting crowd gets them going, they're getting loud you seek me out I'm stuck in a cluster desperately trying hard to muster the courage I need to be honest with you you look beautiful

Tick tock
She had bony legs and protruding hips A hushing whisper on her lips Those words that, long forgotten or even told explain that bulimia had her in a choke hold.

Bulimia
I was never a morning person that was until I woke up and turned to see your face sleep still etched into the skin beneath your eyes the knots of your hair from endless hours of tossing and turning and the look in your eyes that told me something valuable the look that told me you were happy I was here just as I was happy that you were too

Early mornings
I see you now the way you're holding yourself together almost like if you don't hold tight enough pieces of you will fall before my very eyes memories and thoughts spilling from every crevice every tear you've ever cried washing away your pride and resolve

Falling apart
I shouted I love you's and I miss you's into your heart as loud as you'd shouted the expletives and insults into mine You could have knocked me off the earth and I'd have still come back for you Who knew I'd keep falling this time I was just hoping that maybe if I shouted inside you loud enough eventually that bottle of ***** that you hide under your bed would start to taste like me
