A quilted heart
a walking contraditcion healed yet torn apart. joyful midst the sorrow with an enlightened, darkened heart. a staggering, beautiful wreck restoration in my rubble clinging tightly in retreat. awaiting peace in torrent trouble. laying down, racing on. finding life in my own end. freely i’ll bear this cross it’s for my weakness His strength He’ll lend.

Paradoxical Life
Bleak, black billows of discouragement Toss over me like wily waves, And I feel jostled and unjustified. Reality of my fallen state Heaps like bitter salt on a throbbing wound; Tormented, tattered, torn. Coursing through this madness Blind to the next blow. These tempest waters ****** me to their funnel, Yet still Your light punctuates my tunnel.
