This is the first time that I have shared my poetry with anyone really. I view poetry as a way of expressing your inner-self, the one that only you knows to exist. My poetry to me is an auto biography each telling a small part of my life yet in a way that the meaning is hidden from the reader, unless each word is taken into account it's position, the flow from one line to the next, it is in these that the true meaning of the text can be revealed. Each word has a purpose, each pause a needed emphasis, the sometimes abrupt flow and rhythm is there to throw you off guard so the words may penetrate. If even one reader can gain some enjoyment from my work then this sharing of them online is worth it.
