We always chase Something better Everything greater Running a race with no finish line Wanting more and more in every second of our life I want to buy this I need this I have to have it And we slowly get stuck in a loop Never ending wanting and worries Everything is a need Never ending necessity Wanting more having more But still feeling less than before More money more power more status more class We go above and beyond running till our day But forget our soul that made this way we have forgotten ourself that made us humane Judging nagging comparing Tell others they are never enough Telling themselves they are enough Good enough but never enough But we have turned into Humans who are not humane Isn’t that the biggest flaw Isn’t that most terrible setback Care kindness empathy Has left our path along the bay but that is what stays When everything fades away All things we hold Started slipping our hands Even those property and lands All the needs we built around Empty halls echoes, no child to be found Because what we lost on our way Was never meant to be lost that day The kindness we ignored The empathy we silenced The care we held back And in the end We don’t regret what we didn’t have But regret ,What we didn’t become And realize it was never ending race

NEVER ENDING RACE
Don’t judge a book by its cover,” Then go on judging anyway. They say, “Don’t pretend,” But have twenty-one different personalities They maintain for each person every day. They say, “Be kind to new people,” But talk behind their backs like foul play. They say, “Everyone is beautiful,” But still follow extreme diets like a game they play. They say, “Wear whatever you want,” But take two hours to get ready. They say, “Passion is very important,” But still force themselves into a corporate life. They say, “Money isn’t important,” But still buy Birkin bags, funny. They say, “Your past doesn’t matter,” But still stalk you on the internet, don’t worry. They say, “We don’t care,” But care a lot about what matters. They say, “Class doesn’t matter,” But their looks speak a different way. Hypocrisy has no limits For these “they.” Whoever “they” are What do they even say? Have they done anything for you Except make you question If you’re enough for this “they”? They don’t matter. They live a life Full of lies, Full of masks That eventually fades away. If you keep listening to them, You might turn into a “they” yourself, And then realize They were fake all the way.

THEY
Why can’t choose what I want to be To do what makes me happy Why can’t I write till the books are empty And my heart is free , Guilty Why do I have to follow What was not made for me Is science the only way people Seem wealthy Engineer doctor lawyer or a disappointment People say this is a lie But blindly follow this Why I wanted to be poet Write till my heart felt every bit But here I am in rat race That I know I am never going to win Not even a bit Here in this cage Burning out like a flower about wilt My parents paid so much I have to do this I felt I cried for endless days Didn’t know how to go free From this days I wish parents just listen To me Someday I will working like a dog For a 9 to 5 corporate job Just like they wanted Isn’t it all just sorted I was never enough Never can be The only thing that thinks I am enough Is this paper Between you and me

Dreams I Buried For a Degree
They say passion won’t feed you, You won’t earn a dime. You will be lost in this world With no security in life. When you study for something You don’t know why, You work hard something That isn’t even your kind. You don’t know why, You don’t know how, You get stuck In a rat race that you never cared about. Maybe that's how we grew that’s what we learned, When our future where decided Without our say, burnt “Your dreams are stupid” “They will get you no where in life” That's what everyone told us Even before we got to try. Good college Good grades Good job What after that? A slave to the corporate job Work nine to five, Doing something you hate At least to eat ,You’ll survive You look into the sky, Wish you fought for a while. How many Picassos were forced to leave their brushes? How many Ruskin bond books were burnt? How many Robert Frost poems were thrown in the garbage? How many Shakespeare were thrown off the stage? You will never know Just to survive in this vast world. “Art is for dumb people” They say with pride. I don’t understand why. A deaf person can see painting and can feel more than a human's words ever made him felt A blind person can hear a poem can see all the things than people say he could never dealt When paper has more feelings than Humans When beauty exists Beyond its sight That is art. A person in this materialist world would never understand What that means to hold all this in our hands Maybe you’ll eat. Maybe you’ll live. But the thought of never giving it a shot I eat you alive and still. They say passion Doesn’t feed you, Doesn’t pay your bills, Doesn’t make you full, Well that's lie I tell Because i have seen people with plates overflowing, Still starving inside, For a chance to go back To chase the fire they were once afraid to build.

I was seeing the sky Blue and bright Glee all over my mind While you never looked Like it was waste you find I was thinking of Sea huge and vast While you where Looking out of window A small lake only from a far I was writing a poems With Words in my mind While you read them Felt they were only good to listen Never to find I was counting stars Like they were chances to try Why you look at stars and just felt they looked pretty for a while You were looked at waves I was looking at sea You were used to your habits While I set mine free I felt free with the wind But yours windows where always shut You never opened the curtains Like it sun never rose as such If you looked at bird Just like i did Free yourself from the shackles That you built Maybe you would come along with me In this castle of dreams i built Maybe not now but at least later But sometime you will understand The importance of living The happier the better If you saw my side You would also fly in sky And maybe Understand why Even during the toughest of times I always smiled
