the roar of the waves dancing upon the shore
compares not to the pounding in his heart
as he takes her hand and they begin to dance.
the silvery waves make their music
as they glide upon the white sand.
he loses himself in her watercolor eyes
staring straight back at him
with a love brighter than the magenta sky
and deeper than the sea itself

this little mountain village rests under a blanket of snow
snowflakes fall and muffle all sound; her world sleeps silently
she reads by candle light upon her window sill, waiting.
it is very cold
he rests peacefully beneath falling snowflakes
but he is very warm, and flowers rise as beautiful as she
he is lost behind the sunrise
she relies on a broken promise.
