Gravity pushes us down and together But time's wicked ticking tears us apart Away from our foolish dreams of forever That echo the walls of my broken heart I'm left helpless, restless, undone Because no matter what I do While the Earth may turn round the Sun My world still revolves around you.

The failings of man confound, as tremors urge seas to crash upon shore. Turbulance follows in your wake. Each wave hurled towards land disrupts the peaceful sands of days passed. Coastlines are forever altered, our innocence lost. As tide and life ebb away, a hope for reprieve surfaces. All that is found are the barren shells that once housed promise of shelter and stability. No more. These hollowed skeletons serve as unspeaking, unmoving reminders until the surf returns. The sands and I feel settled before the undertow rips away our shoddily compacted reserves. There is no escaping this cycle. Our only choices are to forever struggle against turmoil, or submit to uncertain seas.

In ocean
Your last kiss remains It's the wind that keeps my soul's fire aflame Strong enough to fan Gentle enough to protect Your last kiss remains It's the noise ringing in my ear Loud enough to echo through my thoughts Quiet enough to keep me wanting more Your last kiss remains It's the food that nourishes my body Savory enough to satisfy Pure enough to last until my next taste

Your last kiss remains
When will I heal? I thought this was fixed. How do I feel? My emotions are mixed. My intentions were true, though convictions mislead. The doubts break through, and rise from the dead.

Chaos
I'm gone, but here we'll stay A silence shattered with those words echoing off picture frames that cling to memories within. The words return and rest between the parting lovers' ears where they play on in her head. A broken record for the broken hearted. Days, months, years pass by yet those words bring her back Soothing, haunting, whispering, I'm gone, but here we'll stay

I'm gone, but here we'll stay
Come walk with me tonight, my dear The moon and stars shine bright and clear Matching the radiance you emit To others all is dimly lit For they can't see your face. Through the air silent dreams do drift The wordless void is but a gift That keeps me longing for your voice, By your side with humble rejoice, In this moment with you.
