But then we cry with no tears
and we scream with no voice
How do we run with no space
and walk away while in the same place?
We hide in plain view
and choke while breathing
can our heart stop and keep beating
can the rain fall and never touch ground
can the cut burn with no bleeding
can we win without succeeding
will there ever be healing from pain unreeling?
The silence is so loud
the laughter so silent
the tear drop so resilient
to the happy smile shielding it
Will there be love and no hope
or faith with no rope
If the sun never rises
It'll never set over open horizons
so when the darkness is too bright
and the wrong seems right
and the good becomes bad
no more will we allow ourselves to be sad
happy are the few who see it
happy are the ones who defeat it

Don't smile at me the way you do
Don't laugh at everything I say and do
Don't expect the best
Don't see me above the rest
Don't look my way
every second of every day
Don't sit there and pretend like your not trying to impress me
Don't laugh loudly and pretend it's not for me
Don't make sly remarks
Don't try to catch my attention with every phrase
Don't look me in the eyes
Don't take my breath away
Don't sit there and not realize that you needn't do anything but be around me and it gives me butterflies
You needn't act loud, you needn't make jokes.
Simply sitting there, silently focusing that sets my heart on beat
Don't think I'm not noticing
Don't think I'm ignoring
Don't make me feel the way I do
Please don't make me fall in love with you

What would you say?
Would you agree and hug?
Would you laugh and walk away?
If I said I thought about you
More than you could ever know
Would you see me strange?
If I told you something about you
keeps pulling be back
That seeing you makes me happy
Happier when I make you laugh
What If I said your my ideal?
I never thought you'd be real
When we first met I never thought
you'd be so much more to me
But something kept me thinking
Something many miss
Something inviting
Something I'd like to kiss
Would you call me a freak?
Would you see me strange?

In a warm summer night sky
I want to splash
in a valley of rivers
and swim with fishes of the ages

A wondering travler?
Could there be a greater pain?
The sun never rises
On cold stormy days
Yet the critics laugh
Say the sun's too bright
I'll stare at them and say
At least the sun shines on you
whereas I have never felt the warmth
The blinding
Breath-taking heat
of that one summer's day
Could there be a more distressed soul?
Then the one who has never touched light?

Behind the thinking stream
lays a field of green grass
So green is the grass
of a clear mind
so peaceful is a time
where we won't have to hide
