The poet lives two lives.
One on the outside,
And one in their mind.
When you look in their eyes
You could see an abyss.
If you looked long enough
You could sink into it.
But most people don’t see it.
Take the time to read the words, though,
And you would know for sure.
The poet lives in two different worlds.

A buzzing sound against my ears.
I think I'm dying.
I think I'm crying.
All the things you felt and every breath you took I can feel in my blush.
All that we are
Is a blink in time.
Star bombs blowing up inside of me.
Frame tick tick tock by frame.
These pre-chosen paths reside in me.
I'm thinking about you.
I'm trippin' backwards.
Falling forwards.
Back to you.

if we cannot feel
the luminous sunshine together,
let us stare into the night sky
and whisper to the moon,
spilling our secrets to her.
if we cannot stare
at cotton candy skies together,
let us grab the stars,
and create constellations of our own.

Close your eyes
Your world, not extending
beyond the soft quilt under
your skin, unending
Soft ripples of cloth, and picturesque seams
Nothing here but
You, me, the sky, and soft dreams
I'll reach up and take the stars from the sky
If only to lay them at your feet
to place them in your hands
to bring light into those glazed eyes
or give a glow to a world so bland
and each one would be folded
into a beautiful origami castle
I, the lord, and you, the vassal
Or perhaps me as the king
and you as a queen, whichever
My gentle playmate.. which one is better?
I'm a majestic creature of the sky
You're an empty-faced child on a quilt
Each star shall be used as a stepping stone
so I might meet you in the place I built
Let us meet, as lovers, or
at least equals
on this starry floor

I met a boy –
in the middle of the ocean, with no prenotions.
Eyes soft as the waves –
rocking us down our way, smooth sailing my way.
I knew it wouldn’t turn into something bigger –
than a summer crush, a summer fling.
We were just living in the moment –
living young, wild, and free.
Out on the Caribbean –
where the sun shines brighter than I’ve ever seen –
I shared a kiss under the stars,
with a stranger, only at 17.
Didn't matter how many stories we told
bout the lives we lived back on the shore,
We were just basking in our short-lived loving –
lost on the ocean, my storybook romance –
I’ll forget your name, I'm sure you’ll forget mine,
but I won’t forget your face or our time.
No strings attached is a little too extreme…
It was just innocent lovin’ on the seven seas.

In this life
we are sculpted down
to bone
burned to cinders
and our ash
tossed without regret
into the four winds
I wish I could live.
Be a man.
Find comfort in the sun.
But every cell in my body
revolts against time
cries out against the sun
speaks in tongues
for the sole purpose
of creating an outrage
against God.
Oh Lord!
How did you make us thus?
And why?
Above all
why?
We are made metal
and in the end
alloy with the sun.
Our breath is drawn
to fuel that fire
bring life to a boil
and
if luck prevails
to wake each morning
in comfort
and with a smile.
Perhaps the last sweet smile.

Because I’m a poet
I permit my mind
To mount clear
In the expression of
love , Sorrow
or
whatever it pleases
To unearth
Because I’m a poet
I tolerate my soul
To adrift in the abyss of time
like the blowing winds
In its mercy clinging for life
like a chain
Because I’m a poet
I license my body
To have no barriers journey
No rules to follow
spreads my wings
Glide high with my imagination
For poetry is a beast of many faces
Because You’re a Poet
There is no need for you
to be judgmental, intimidating
or provocative towards others
for poetry is
all about living free
And You Too
Can shine on your
Own
And

In my dream world
I would express my feelings to those close to me
My friendships wouldn't end so quickly
I wouldn't be so shy and talk to people I admire
I could climb the ladder to my roof
without being afraid
My writing isn't messy
I have green colored eyes
I'm the one who everyone loves
In my dream world
I live in the dirt with the trees and grass
I asked him
What's in your dream world
/ / /\ / /
I hope he says
Me

If you love me,
love me as I am,
With my goodness and vices.
If you desire to change me,
then love a new me,
Then that is not love,
It is a transaction,
In love there is no deal.

your eyes bore into mine and I swear I can do this all day long.
"are you asleep?"
"I am, inside your heart."
your eyes with black irises, the gleaming happiness that can be seen inside them. you couldn't express yourself with words too well, but when I'm looking at you like this, I know you don't have to. I can read you all too well like this.
"are you sleepy?"
"I am not, not when the sound of my heartbeat is louder than silence in this moment."
you stare with hollowness, half lidded eyes that speak so much: I love you, I miss you, I want you, I need you -
"are you asleep?"
"yes. I'm full of you."
