adrija - Hello Poetry

we got lost in the azure; strayed too far from the concrete jungle, wrecked by the inability to spread those wings, clipped behind our backs. we got lost in the azure; lost in the in between, the spaces between paragraphs, they call, like sirens to the sea. time misspent, misused. love misdirected, misplaced. cracked hearts. cracked skin. cracked bones. we got lost in the azure; this world isn’t meant to be, ours - and the stars embedded in a blanket of darkness, they beckon. and perhaps, one day, we’ll follow.

whisper upon whisper, grain upon grain. they pile up, until there is no space to breathe not a pocket of air, only the damp black. hot. humid. cramping and stamping extinguishing. and then. it crushes, you're trapped like a bee on a wing life has you now. in its hold

A river's course, a water's flow, Slow, then fast, never ceasing - Time soothes, heals, lets you grow, Warms you up, keeps you believing. Another day it rips, it tears, Soft yet vicious, teeth bared - Draws blood, and lets out fears. Time is less than a friend.

the (un)healing nature of time

A river's course, a water's flow, Slow, then fast, never ceasing - Time soothes, heals, lets you grow, Warms you up, keeps you believing. Another day it rips, it tears, Soft yet vicious, teeth bared - Draws blood, and lets out fears. Time is less than a friend.

An ever-winding road, Breaking into distant stars. A drift of milky white. And the vast emptiness ahead. Walking among the ancients; Nothing touches the wall. Hope, lost to the wind - You'll be alright - At least for now. It's darkest before dawn.

What Douse Fire

it’s the throbbing kind of pain, so unlike the burning you are used to a timeless ache, that jars you to the core so different from the fire that you built yourself from belying the strength of the armour, that guards the tender fabric of your soul. and you knew you were made of stone, but darling, stone always crumbles though born of lava, it turns to dust and how can you be the exception?
