"How vain is it to sit down to write when you have not stood of up to live"
Pen in hand, heart on the page Releasing my thoughts, freeing birds in a cage. Nothing more than a metaphoric phrase. Nothing less than an emotional phase. My thoughts are deeper now that we're apart, but I'll never forget the day your footsteps drifted away, in sync with my beating heart.

Loving you is like trying to put together a puzzle And I hate it because the picture will look like it's coming together But I can never find the right pieces that fit. So it's left there unfinished and I'm frantically looking for the lost pieces but you don't seem to care that it's incomplete And you probably think I'm crazy because I can't walk away until we finish the picture, Find the missing pieces, solve the puzzle... I can't walk away until I know I'm walking away with you.

Solve the puzzle
How foolish it is to think about someone all day and you never crossed their mind.

Foolish
You love to tell me the simplest of lies, Like how you'll love me forever and I'm beautiful in your eyes, You'll tell me I'm perfect and that you'll never leave, But suddenly you're gone and I'm left to grieve.

I guess I was just crazy because I didn't have a problem with my wild brown hair, brown eyes, and brown skin. I didn't have a problem with who I was at all. I think what's worse than hating yourself is liking what you see in the mirror and wondering why no one else does.
