25/M/Boston Never shared my poetry with anyone before but would love for someone to benefit from my words, and I for sure, can benefit from other’s words as well. As well as get, and give some pointers and constructive criticism.
Sick of teasing demons Shackled out of arms reach Snarling, hungry for a chunk of flesh Patient for days, weeks Following silently, cold malicious desire Whispering deadly temptations Joyfully dumping fuel Enraging my eternal fire Shackled to life’s patterns Evolving and growing, pattens match stride Shapes that appear gone and broken Still spread ripples far and wide Places and friends that felt like home Left behind, changed or no more Hold a spot in my heart forever and ever And alone I will endure.

Tired
Heavy curtains open fluently Audience to be, storming cold seats Ready to escape ordinary living Yearning souls eager to see. Grand performances. Ever vivid and inviting. Inspirational props, costumes and story’s Illuminating new life, neath pale lighting Laughter and wails, echo across thin air Throughout well rehearsed scenes. Captivating and mesmerizing all alike Revealing an end to the means. The lights cut out, heavy curtains swing closed The audience rejoice with glee Pouring out wide doors, out into the night Leaving the theatre to me. Stage is mopped, props are cleaned Everything in its position Nightly routines and needed upkeep Performed with familiar precision. New story’s and lessons put on display To whomever pays to go Buy a ticket, hurry to your seat Get ready for the show.
