They all say that I'm okay, That there is nothing wrong today. But have they been inside my brain? Thought my thoughts, felt my pain? Have they seen inside my brain?

Inside my Brain
It's hard to be happy When the people around you Think they can control you, Think you are lesser than them. When you try to exist As a human being And all you get in rebuttal Is hatred and loathing. I sigh and get a glare. I move and get a glare. I exist and get a glare. So I hide away, from the glares.

Control
I am tired. In my bones, In my heart, In my mind, In my soul. I am tired. Of my life, And of the people in it.

I Am Tired
Our relationship is rocky, But the love is strong. I may not be very talky, And you may think I am wrong, But our situation binds us Together like glue. We will stick together regardless, And I know I will always have you. I know that in the future you will leave me, And I will never forgive you, Of your presence I will never be free, But I will still love you, through and through.

Rocky Relationship
They say there are consequences; That you get punished for your actions. Not every one outright says "Pain" under the column for "Reactions", But it is an unspoken inclusion On every little piece of karma. Big or small, you may form a resolution That revolves around avoiding karma. My punishment came from generations ago, And it was passed down over the years. It affects all of us, and will not go; The consequences that cause our tears.

The Consequences
So many people view the darkness as evil or something bad. We portray a different likeness for the dark depending on experiences we've had. Not everybody likes it, and it frightens some people, but for the people who like it, it can be as comforting as the sight of a steeple. The darkness is calm; it helps for collecting thoughts. Some people find it a balm to the chaos Earth has wrought.

Blissful Darkness
In today's world, things are different, People have different values, And sometimes they don't get the hint. They all just ignore the cues, Everyone sticks to their schedule, And what their bodies try to Tell them they try to ridicule, Saying, "I'll just do that too." People listen to their stomachs Rumbling the day away, As they work through the tummy ache That hunger forces to stay. If they listened to their body, (The natural thing to do) They would eat when they are hungry, It helps be productive, too. And if people set their schedules Around when they are tired, And don't just sleep when things are dull, They might just not get fired. For when you work when you are tired, You tend to mess some things up, And if you mess up, you get fired. Don't sleep when the clock is up.

Values
The Wind of chaos howls overhead While the water of sorrow gathers In a puddle at my feet, with dread, I watch the storm and would not rather. The storm grows with surprising fury As the words grow louder and bolder. They try to drown me in a hurry; I struggle just not to be buried. At the eye are two different people, With separate beliefs and motives, While I cling to the steeple, And they don't care if the other lives. I tell myself not everything's bad, That there can still.be light in the world, And then I just think what if I had Been able to secure my own hold.

Hurricane of Words
You little thief, you can’t go A whole week without stealing. Where is my hairbrush? It’s gone. Do you have it? Yes you do. Anytime something is gone, I can always go to you, I know to suspect your guilt, Because you’re a little thief. Where are my earbuds? They’re gone. They're missing because of you. I can’t find my new sweater! Oh wait, it’s the little thief; You stole all my possessions, And now I can’t find my stuff, Because I know you took it. You’re an avid little thief.

You Little Theif
Rain, Rain, fills the sky, And makes everything new, The green grass spry, The Earth filled with dew. Flower buds close up, The leaves grow greater green, All the world blows up This beautiful scene. Air smells of wet earth, The whole world hides away: Humans by the hearth, The cattle in the hay, Rabbits burrow down Into their hide-aways, To the trees so brown, The birds find their way. Just as the storm stops and the winds quits blowing, Up in the tree tops The leaves unfurl and grow, Thankful for the rain, They continue to grow, Grateful for the rain, 'Til it turns to snow.
