Orange and red bludgeoningly intertwined, Spilling towards the darkness of the night. The misses of the year fill my eyes As even the hits just hurt the same. Chilly wind that resists my arms, There’s a hold in my breath. Feet planted, telling me to stay, Nostalgia fills as the orange turns grey. As the sun sets on the last year of the night, Rest, and respite rise and rise. Fear I will have to do this again next year... Sangfroid because there is a new tomorrow! Nor there ever will be peace When I carry the burden of your heart, When I carry the burden of your light, When I carry the burden of your laugh, When I carry the burden of your ignorance, When I carry the burden of your insight , When I carry the burden of your wrath. No, there will never be peace for me.
