I swing side to side,
the rules i was told to abide,
hang in my mind.
They said be quiet,
no riot.
My dog is
still as a log,
I'm in a hazy fog.
The rules suffocate me,
I find it hard to breathe
But in my heart, you run, wild and free,
a riot of love, just you and me.

The color of a river rushing by,
Is the same as the blue jay flying high.
Blue is the color of the waves on the beach,
The color of the water bottle for which I reach.
The rain I hear falling down,
Is the sad crying from all around.
Blue is the color of the blue bird's gentle call,
Like the great blue waterfall.
The cold blue sapphire in the cave,
Is like the blue dolphin I save.
Blue Is the color of my blanket that's soft,
Lays on my bed perched on a loft.
The blueberry pie that smells so good,
Isn’t like the muffins from Red Riding Hood.
Blue is the smell of ocean salt,
Is like the crumpled bluebells which are not your fault.
Without blue the world would be boring and bland.

He always loved his green thing,
Never cared; it didn't bling.
His absolute favorite his treasure his prize
Reflected bright in those loving eyes.
I hope you don't know that I have cried,
For in my heart, you'll always reside.
You shredded it with tooth claw and paw,
But couldn't touch the love I saw
Now in my heart your safe in warm
You will be forever safe from harm

It's been a week,
and I'm still not over the grief.
I find it hard to breathe,
don't you see?
I'm drowning in the depths of ocean,
Frozen in place devoid motion.
This heavy heart a sinking stone,
I face this world so much alone.
Our bond was so deep,
Now I cannot sleep.
Memory brings both smile and ache,
My hearts about to break
You were my anchor in the sea,
Now all is gone and empty.
I know the day will come for me,
To finally see you and find you free.
Although earth and sky keep us apart,
You live forever in my mortal heart.
