Today
I heard the birds chirping.
I heard the river
flowing to meet its destiny
i saw the sunrise
as bright as it could be
i heard the butterflies, flap their wings,
at the sight of a blossom.
i saw two little love birds
sitting on a bench
whispering sweet nothings to each other.
i saw the stars and the moon
eager to come out
and take control of the night.
it was at sunset
that i realized,
you can only see when your deaf,
you can only hear when your blind.

The day i died
the day i lost it all
when i walked out that door
gave up on everyone
gave up on everything
abandoned me.
Left all my life behind
left all i had behind,
To the other side i stepped,
shut the door behind.
to a new life i walked,
a new chapter i thought,
only to find myself,
only six feet under.

A wind that came to destroy
Me and all around me.
One that suffocated me,
That even though i could scream,
No one heard me.
My soul felt alone,
My soul was alone.
It crushed me to the brink,
The brink of losing myself.
Then did i realize,
It was never me,
And the wind,
Was always inside.
I was its own,
And all it came to do,
Was to take its place,
And take me away.

What does it mean to heal?
Does it mean that it doesn't hurt anymore?
Your okay with it now?
Your moving on, looking forward?
Waiting for the sunset?
Or choosing to forget,
The hurtful twisted things life did to you?
It never happened.
Your past, non-existant.
Then you go to exhilarating quests,
Filled with ***** lust and opulence,
Well, they're supposed to be.
Just to fill that dark empty void.
But have you really forgotten,
Your dark, lonely, souless past?
Or do you just want to tell yourself,
You choose to believe,
After all, it never happened.
