Autumn Leaves
climbing up to heaven
of their own accord
under their own strange power.
With a force unseen
they fly effortlessly
ever upward.
Fall leaves
not falling yet
I watch them rise.
And as I watch them
I join them in rising
Their earthbound friends
those common gutter leaves
too crumbersome to fly
all they can achieve is to slow their own imminent fall
and then to flop around on the ground being whittled themselves to nothing with every passing foot
But soaring leaves
those are the ones to watch
they may get ideas above their station
think that they are birds
And as I watch those soaring leaves icarianly fall to the ground to join their common lousy no good earthbound cousins I think
I may never reach the comparative heights of those leaves?
Nah...
I'm Human and those things are just washed up tree feeders!

It's Dippity Dooh Dah Day
Get off of work
it's time to play
to remember
and celebrate
something or other
I Just Can't Wait
Walk to the greens
and to the parks
and park at the parks
and pay the meter
and pay the master
of ceremonies
and give a donation
for whatever the hell this holiday is supposed to be about
What was the holiday supposed to be about again?
It's slipping away from the periphery of my memory
Something that everyone can sellabrate together?
No, No there's nothing like that anymore
because absolutely no one will sellabrate both Columbus Day
and Indigenous Peoples Day!! Perish the thought!
And No one will sellabrate both Toyotathon and
Happy Honda Days!! How could you?
No one will sellabrate Veterans Day at all because those guys killed people, nevermind the reasons that they killed the people.
And Memorial Day and the Fourth of July?
They have lost their meaning today in the face of an american people who no longer value the sacrifices that have been made

Tablet Computer
Paper
These are the things a man needs to learn better of himself
Books- The knowledge of humanity available at a glance
Tablet Computer- The ability to converse with the world entire
Paper- Ancient and Modern commodity of learning
Every weekday I Travel to the Bus Stop, Travel on the Bus
To my place of learning
And the bus is not only moving my body, but also my eager mind
And so, as I sit in the seat which has been sat upon a thousand times by a thousand butts, I think... "At least I don't have to worry about parking?"

Anything built up will all fall quite down
whether concrete or wood or steel which is sound
whether falling and failing and tumbling down
or intentionally brought down to the ground
to be soon replaced with something quite new
New Buildings New Churches New things to see and do
and not only to our buildings do these rules apply
but also our bodies, we live, olden, die
the very construction code of human beings
involves self destruction right there where it brings
bring forth fresh new life direct from the grown
then few short years later those who brought them fell down
this is the way now and how it's always been
we can know nothing different and accept these things
But now I must tell you it may not be this way
not everything here is subject to decay
Three things may survive beyond all despair
Human Minds Human Souls Human dreams
Make It Clear
The soul of a body cannot be destroyed
and lives beyond all things, in Heaven restored
The mind of a human can live on no doubt
as long as young humans remember by rote
And Dreams let me say those ethereal things
cannot be deferred by any manly thing
These things will survive as long as man does
to interfere between man and these is dangerous
For like a Bear mother defending her cub
a man and his soul mind and dream are kept close
So no, no you people Do NOT Despair
Hold on to your mind soul and dreams like a bear
These things that you have can see you safely through
all the fears and dangers that life puts you through
