Alright, left, up, down.
The weather is wonderful today. The trees leave gaps for the sun to shine through.
Right foot, up, forward, down. Repeat with the left.
There’s an old couple at a bench. They seem happy. I’m happy for them, I swear.
Forward and forward and forward, don’t miss a step.
Some kids are laughing somewhere close. A ball bounces by.
Why is this so hard?
The grass is recently cut, I think. There used to be flowers.
Don’t falter, don’t trip, don’t slip.
A bird flies by. It seems familiar. It seems free.
A dog chases a butterfly somewhere ahead. That’s cool, I guess.
I miss you. I give up.

The birds awake the morning sky to guide us with their songs.
They'll cry and scream "How could you not see, it's so clear from up here!"
But we humans mistake it for a melody as the birds forget we could not share their view.
