The look of fun within your eye

Laughs of games of chasing lions

Leaning back, a great big wheelie
Three kids shine
A train on a slide
Do we show or do we hide?
I would till the land for you
And plant the seed the whole day through
So we might feast come harvest time
And sing and dance and dance and shine
I'd give this gift if it were mine
But I took and pass this rhyme
We both received the gift of life.
So bless the lord for his design
Or lady luck for rolling fives
Which hand in hand may come alive
Let's relish in this perfect day
And sway the cool, calm night away

Your face, I see it
(or is it felt?)
You climb up from the wave pool like a beaching seal,
and stand on the blue tiles
"Go further" you say
and you leap in a gigantic belly flop
To be caught
under the armpits
face to face and eye to eye
grin to grin for a split second
division of time,
until we carry on
"Again!"
And these little raindrops are captured by history itself
that they might fill a water ****
and nourish our souls again
And so from the black and total oneness
--from the dark depths unto above--
through starlight, see this:

never lost
even as your body goes
adventures in time
